lighting can be hard to get right, but with any of the below, i don't think you can go wrong...

this seriously gorgeous lamp from Anthropologie would dress up my side table (or anything it sat on)

change the finish in the 1st picture (or maybe not) and we have an instant lighting scheme for a most fabulous room.  in a perfect world, they'd all be on dimmers.

To lay down or to lie down

now that spring is getting closer (i think, i hope), i'm itching to make some changes around my abode. 
i love layering flat weaves, dhurries and kilims.
