garden stools are classic and a great addition to any spot.  i can remember the ones my Ma-Ma used in her living room (25 years ago), and loved them.  they are everywhere and this new take, sold at Plantation Home is a great addition to the line up:

its obvious why i love it (has a very Missoni feeling to it, and it's chevron.  no brainer).  another item i have been falling harder for everyday is this beautiful lamp by Currey & Co.   The Metamorphosis Table Light in Antique brass looks ready for a black tie evening.  Change the shade is it becomes a little less formal:
